A new air-conditioned computer lab has been set up for senior students. It is one of the finest computer labs in the region. It has been fitted with granite tables and latest IBM computers. Canon LCD projector has also been installed for demonstrations.
Newly constructed B.S. Bahl Science Block was inaugurated in the year 2005. This block comprises of well furnished 9 lecture halls, 3 separate modern labs for physics, chemistry and biology, conference hall and a computer lab. It also has one multi-purpose lecture theater with all the modern audio visual aids to facilitate seminars, lectures, workshops, discussions and indoor games.
School has a skating rink of international dimensions and standard. This rink is used for hockey and artistic events. It has a floor of Kota stone with provision of 400 lux-level 36 metal halide lamps from eight poles. It has seating arrangement for 2000 students. Six supporting rooms have been added to the rink. New powerful music system too has been installed in 2005.
City's skating fraternity has a reason to cheer. A new cylindrical speed track measuring 15,500 square feet has been added in 2005. It has a floor of Kota stone with provision of 350 lux-level 24 metal halide lamps from 4 poles. Within the Speed Skating Track, Basket Ball court along with Lawn Tennis court shall be made available to the School Children. President RSFI, Pardeep Ganeriwal said, “Chandigarh and its neighboring states have always dominated in roller hockey, but with new speed track at
DAV-7, the response for this event would go further.”
A newly constructed amusement park is an added attraction for the Tiny-Tots of the school from Class Pre-Nursery to Class V. The students enjoy the rides, slides, water games, fountains and the traffic lights in the new Amusement Park. |

Having succeeded in driving home the point of keeping in touch with the studies even during vacation, this year the assignments were improved upon and additional subjects introduced.
